Ada Palmer is an historian specialized in the Renaissance period and an American novelist. She has written a study on De Natura rerum by Lucretius, which is considered as the first profane document, and has received the John W. Campbell Award for Best New Writer in 2017 for her novel, Too Like the Lightning, translated into French by another exceptional woman, Michelle Charrier.
